While in Australia for the Asian Cup, Zahra Ghanbari was threatened and sought asylum. The Islamic Republic then targeted her family, forcing her to withdraw her claim in March 2026, making her the fifth player pushed to reverse course under pressure. They promised her safety if she returned.
This is the pattern. Coerce. Threaten families. Lure people back with promises of safety. Then punish and silence them.
The system promises protection, then turns on you the moment you are within its reach.
The white liberal women should take notice that they support a culture where it is allowed to beat women as long as it doesn’t show and beat them some more for complaining.
Under Islamic Sharia law, women and girls accused of violating Sharia laws and Islam’s “modesty rules” (including by disobeying their male guardians) are systematically murdered in honor killings.
The men of the Muslim family (fathers, husbands, brothers, or even sons) restore their damaged “honor” and dignity by shedding the blood of their own daughter, wife, or sister.
They believe this murder cleanses the family name and grants them paradise.
Even worse: thousands of these women and girls are first deliberately raped to guarantee they will not enter paradise as virgins, and only then butchered by the very men who are supposed to protect them.
When there is no father or husband, the woman becomes the property of her brothers or sons, with the same deadly fate awaiting her.
