I know it’s not feasible for most Canadians unless you live close to the border.
We only buy products that are not available in Canada. There are a lot of healthy items we got used to when we lived there.
Other than a Canine drug inspection by the US CBP, in the lineup before entering Canada, it was smooth sailing both ways.
There appears to be NO TARIFFS on groceries coming into Canada but the Cdn Government does not want you to know this.
All you need to do is declare everything and you are free to go.
