BC Interior Health is now sending notices to all residents who have not received their poison injection.
How is this not an invasion of privacy?
Our medical status is there for everyone who sorts and distributes mail to view.
How do they determine who to mail to. Do they just eliminate everyone who has gotten vaxed and automatically send to everyone else?
It is targeted to the unjabbed as they know one’s status if jabbed in BC.
They record your health number when jabbed. They know who has not got the poison. No jabbed person has received one yet.
Time to get the hell out of Dodge

It may be easier said than done to leave Dodge. Assets may be less liquid than thought. Borders’ degree of openness may be unclear or may change at the last minute, or may turn out to have oddities relating to some paper filed once upon a time ostensibly about someone else by mistake. Persons to whom one has ties may have different kinds of compromise, of but one might be a significant physical problem.
Flee to where can also be an interesting question. I personally wish I were less tied down and were in certain other parts of the US, which are looking awfully attractive (relatively speaking) right about now, but all it takes is some pressure on some governor and some legislators (things found on their computers; bribes), a strange court ruling or two, or something like that, a different kind of emergency (or “emergency”) and a perceived need of federally-approved troops, and being stranded among strangers, even the nicest ones, might seem, well, strange, compared to good old Dodge. That’s what I tell myself anyway though if I had had a great crystal ball I think I’d be somewhere else right now.
As for the privacy thing, I don’t think that’s there anywhere probably.
It is not that I do not personally make efforts for some privacy. It is more to keep certain layers of privacy.

I believe part of it in your case is more than just a privacy matter. It is part of keeping the proles divided. It is also an anxiety-producing measure. You are anxious about privacy. Others who might see it are anxious that they will get the covid-cootie from you. Everyone will tend to be anxious all the time. No one will be comfortable. BTW I’m not looking it up, but I suspect the word translated as “empire” could just as well as been translated as “rule” or “domination”.
The idea is it’s maybe just error. These things happen. Or it may be just one more little cutesy to keep people, all people, on edge.
Silverboom, I agree, but thanks to our arrogant little shithead of a PM, I can’t leave the country. We only have one passport (Canadian unfortunately) so can’t claim residency in any other country. Would like to escape to Idaho but can’t get across the border. Trapped 🙁

Now that you mention it, it is a very valid point … that the authorities can check whether you’re jabbed or not, before granting you a visa to travel … let alone trying to leave the country.

Our school board asked for community comments on how to conduct the new school year and the majority wanted no critical race theory, no masks, no vaccinations and everything normal. Like no guys competing in girls sports. We did allow for private bathrooms for trans folks and any other anxious people.
I have two kids in the school system and it is superb. I could be biased cuz my kids are in the top 3% of their senior class.

We have 1700 families a day moving into Texas, 70% of that into North Dallas suburbs. The same inflow demographics that California had in the mid 1960’s.
Sorry to be neg, but I’m in that kind of mood:
Look at California now, or at least large parts of it. (Did Californias by and large vote for it? Arguably not. Is it possible that there are large parts of the state that feel reasonable? I suppose so. But it must be rough living there even so.)
I am all too familiar with another state — one that was rural and lots of fun — decades ago, even recently. Quite possibly even in the past big election it did not go D except in a couple of cities and some ‘burbs (the vehemence with which the idea of audits has been denounced suggests that in fact it might have heavily gone against the D’s). Be that as it may, in certain previously nice urban regions anyway the atmosphere has been ruined, I think largely from influx of the PC upper middle class types from esp SCal but also NCal and the East. I have seen some laws suggested that are as insane as anywhere.
And if they can’t take over TX by infiltration or bribery etc, there’s always the nasty way. I don’t want to issue suggestions, but for the unpleasantly minded things like power outages during cold waves can occur as they did.
I wish you luck, but I think it will not be easy anywhere. I am scared someone goes somewhere and then realizes that it might have been just as well to have stayed where one had contacts. Don’t know.
