(Read last night that counting should finish this week, but exams of ballot paper for irregularities will occupy them for rest of month. Surprised that wasn’t part of the review in line.)
This is heating UP.
Thanks pedro
PS…Is there any mechanism you are aware of to decertify these votes if the Legislatures in these States are convinced of Fraud ?
pass the popcorn
Not that I’m aware of. I hope that question surfaces upon the release of the results.
For those who don’t frequent CTH, the comments are often as informative as Sundance’s exceptional posts.
Here’s one: “I happen to believe that Trump is neither a narcissist nor a sociopath, but rather pretends to be a bit of both, somewhat in the style of Rush Limbaugh. I think Rush had more influence on Trump than most people realize. My point is that Trump has blazed a trail for other “anti-politicians“ to enter these races and win. They need only to campaign on solid conservative values AND to unmask their opponents’ phony personas, enabling voters to see them as the creeps that they are.”
Plus 1 !
So I am speechless. This was in HuffPost this morning: “REPUBLICANS PUSH MORE ABSURD ELECTION AUDITS Arizona state Senate Republicans’ “audit” of 2020 election results in Maricopa County is so unprofessional and illegitimate that many election officials won’t even refer to it as an audit. But the GOP’s audit fever is spreading nevertheless, with lawmakers from Pennsylvania, Michigan and Georgia wanting to give it a try, writes Travis Waldron. [HuffPost]” Different spins (lies?) for diifferent folks.
And Paul Craig roberts commentary is not to be missed: https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2021/06/11/can-republicans-admit-that-the-system-failed/
I saw one mainstream piece on AZ yesterday, claiming the audit was unprofessional because they could look at one pallet of ballets and “count” the number of ballots in the blink of an eye.
States have plenary powers that come from the US Constitution. These are absolute powers for the state legislators to decertify elections and recall senators and congressmen.
