BREAKING: Hegseth is heading back to Washington too, just after Trump cut his own weekend short
The two men who would both have to sign off on any strike are now converging on Washington on a Saturday night, and neither has explained why.
Stack up what else happened today.
A B-1B bomber reportedly lifted off from a British base that sits six to eight hours from Iran, the State Department pushed security alerts to Americans in six Middle East countries, Iranian media says Tehran’s armed forces went to their highest alert level, and one analyst told CNN the Camp David meeting was called to go over strike options in Yemen.
Any single one of those has an innocent explanation.
All of them landing together is the part that has people watching flight trackers nervously.
