   If I were president of France, here’s what I would do.

   France is primarily responsible for the debacle of the West.
   It’s up to us, and us alone, to initiate the movement to kill these ideas.
   Here’s the how-to guide.

   I would launch a grand movement: Nuremberg 2.0 for communism.
   A historic and symbolic trial of the responsibility of collectivist ideas.
   Not a tribunal of flesh and blood, but a total symbolic death of these ideologies. A pillorying before humanity of all the thinkers who, in the 20th century and beyond, manufactured the poison that’s eating away at the world today.

   We have two hundred years of data.
   Collectivism always produces the worst slaughters.
   Nearly a hundred million dead.
   Lenin and Stalin’s USSR: twenty million.
   Mao’s China: sixty-five million.
   Pol Pot’s Cambodia: two million in three and a half years, a quarter of the population.
   North Korea, Vietnam, Eastern Europe, Ethiopia, Cuba…
   Always the same logic: the individual doesn’t exist, ideological purity justifies everything, truth is whatever the Party decides. Executions, organized famines, camps, deportations. Without exception.

   These ideas aren’t opinions.
   They’re software for mass destruction.
   I would ban them completely, with an explicit and permanent coupling between collectivism and terrorism.
   Because intellectual terrorism always precedes real terrorism, and the state massacres of the 20th century are their bloody proof.

   Then I would launch the grand trial of French responsibility.
   We gave the world Descartes, Pascal, Tocqueville.
   Then, in the intellectual ruins of post-68, we exported the poison: the Frankfurt School, the Club of Rome, French Theory.

   The Frankfurt School taught that Western culture was pure alienation and domination.
   The Club of Rome, in 1972, published *The Limits to Growth* and injected into elites the virus of degrowth, ecological guilt, and anti-progress.
   Foucault, Derrida, Deleuze taught that there’s no truth, only power relations, that every institution is oppression, that every norm is violence, that every heritage is suspect.
   These texts, unreadable among us, crossed the Atlantic, married American guilt, and gave birth to wokism.

   Since the 1970s, these ideas have taken intellectual, cultural, and educational control of France.
   After 68, hegemony.
   Schools stopped transmitting to deconstruct.
   Industry was scorned.
   Security was sacrificed.
   Demographics flipped.
   An entire generation learned to suspect its own civilization and admire those who hate it.

   The result is an absolutely catastrophic situation:
   relative economic stagnation, collapse of academic performance, permanent insecurity, abyssal debt, youth trained in resentment rather than building.
   A civilization that no longer knows how to say what a woman is, what merit is, what truth is, what France is.

   I would put all the thinkers who designed this software in the symbolic pillory of humanity.
   Symbolic death of these ideas.
   National confession.
   Clear recognition that collectivism, in all its forms, is a criminogenic ideology.

   But here’s the good news.
   This system is reaching its end.
   It’s collapsing under the weight of its own lies and failures.
   Everywhere, builders are rising.
   In Silicon Valley, in labs, in startups, in workshops, in all the places where people still make things instead of deconstructing them.
   They believe that truth exists, that merit exists, that heritage deserves to be passed on.

   France gave birth to the poison.
   It can also give birth to the remedy.

   Sorry.
