I think her appeal is that she can be a solid and loyal GOP vote without potential conflicts on issues or be someone with their own agenda. She also will likely be able to work with existing staff to be effective immediately. Anyone with deep political experience likely comes with their own ambitions. She won’t be much of a war monger either or at least an effective one. Seems like a good pick that gets the position filled quickly.
