Heard this joke yesterday on a Podcast — What do North Korea, China, Russia and Canada all have in common?
They are all currently being run by unelected majority governments.
It’s funny/sad but not completely accurate — apparently the Russian constitution demands regular elections — as does Canada’s but the results apparently don’t mean anything as selected Members of Parliament were recently incentivized to leave “the parties that they represented when voted for by citizens” to create an unelected Liberal Majority (So far – only those that chose NOT to accept incentives offered have been willing to discuss terms).
