How might freedom of speech be limited for and by Conservatives?
Pam Bondi – did she mean what she said? – Megyn Kelly debate panel.
Candice cuts to the chase regarding a double standard at the Gov’t/Law enforcement level – and at a moment of high emotion no less – starting at 24:04
It’s already been formally legislated that anti-zionism = anti-semitism = hate speech – and don’t forget the rule still applies no matter what party said it – ‘never let a crisis go to waste’. Possibly also worth noting that 250 or so US representatives recently paid (or were paid?) Netanyahu an audience in Israel last week.
So apparently, if the US underwrites Israeli actions carte blance, we will not be ‘hate criminals’ or Hamas supporters or suffer the consequences of such. Am I not reading this correctly?
The groundwork in US law has already been laid here.
4. clearly and firmly states that anti-Zionism is antisemitism; and…
Once again, blurring the lines between Zionism, Judaism and Semitism.
The first is a political designation, the next religious, and the last a language classification.
We’ll know the jig is up when, as we saw with the 9/11 Patriot Act, in response to the CK fervor, republicans (and of course enough dems) introduce passage of a bill that effectively makes ‘hate’ speech a ‘hate crime’ (that delivers SPECIAL JUSTICE for violators) and with the subjective term HATE still being driven from the eye of the accuser (guilty until proven innocent).
We’ll know who drives this when they add Zionism as a ‘protected’ class – then it’s game over.
This is the final stage of the 1968 (LBJ), 1994 (special penalties/justice); 2009 (gender identity protection); 2022 (protected characteristics expanded); introduction of Hate Crime legistlation introduced and passed (then of course certain ‘protected classes’ arose). And current – All complete BS aimed at destroying our Constitution, the Culture and the Country.
MIGA !
I was shocked and disappointed by what Bondi said. There is no excuse for that kind of ignorance of the 1st constitutional amendment of free speech. She should have apologized. Maybe she did, but that will not erase the major stupidity of her comment that made me lose all faith in her as even marginally competent. I’m glad many other conservatives lambasted her. The 1st amendment protects hate speech but not the public consequences of it. I’m glad at least that resulted the public retribution it deserves, especially those celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk. May they continue to be destroyed in the court of public opinion.
