The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) has issued a warning letter to a British Columbia city for banning a Christian concert.

In an August 6 press release, the JCCF announced that it sent a letter to the city of Abbotsford, warning the city to reverse its decision to deny a permit for a Christian concert featuring Sean Feucht, an American pro-life Christian singer with links to the MAGA movement.

“Abbotsford officials denied a permit on the basis of safety concerns, details of which have not been shared with organizers,” JCCF explained.

Interestingly, JCCF revealed that the details of the concerns have not been shared with organizers. Furthermore, after months of working with the city of Abbotsford and meeting its rules, organizers were suddenly told they needed “safety letters” from Abbotsford’s police and fire departments. However, the city further indicated that the police and fire chiefs would not issue these certifications, stating that the potential hazards were beyond their departments’ ability to manage.
