I have been silent for a couple of months now, although must confess taking a break from some of the bad news here has not helped at all.
I see that our worst case scenario (another Liberal win) is imminent. And I cannot remain silent any more when it comes to some of the comments I’ve been seeing on this forum. I’m not holding back. For those interested, please see first comment.
First of all, I share the dismay of every Canadian on this forum when I say I am sickened by the recent surge in popularity of the Liberals. I am incredulous as to how brain-dead most people in this country are, and it hasn’t exactly been fun to spend the last few days alone in a foreign country feeling physically ill at the thought of Carney being elected.
But what I have been finding almost as disconcerting is the attitude of some other posters (yes I have occasionally lurked here in silence).
Here’s the thing: when the US election was on, we shared your hope that Trump would win. When that happened, we shared your joy at the changes being made.
Well now it’s our turn, and while we were at first jubilant when Turd-o was flushed, sobering reality quickly set in when we saw the WEF sink its claws in deeper and the brainwashed sheep blindly embraced it. I fear that we are all about to face one of our worst nightmares, and this one will not end well. This is it. This was our last chance. I’m afraid it’s gone, as is the country we knew.
To those of you who do not live in Canada and think it’s somehow appropriate to rub this defeat in our faces, I have one thing to say to you:
Shut The Fuck Up!
None of us on this forum wanted this. Every one of us has done our damndest to educate others. We have signed petitions, written letters, attended protests, and more. Kudos especially to FGC and Kewl2, who have spent countless hours keeping us informed. What the hell more could we have done? We gave it our all, and….we lost. So please, spare us the sarcasm about “fighting our way out with hockey sticks”. Stop telling us our country is “D.E.A.D.” Stop telling us we are fucked. We already know.
If you have something to say that might be helpful, by all means. But gloating over how much better it is in America is not helping us. Calling us pussies or commies is not helping either.
And another thing: for all Americans who think we are stupid for not just packing up and moving to the US, you are obviously very ignorant when it comes to your own immigration laws. Guess what? No job? No children who have permanent residency? Don’t have $1.8 million dollars to hand over? Then you are not welcome in the US. Believe me, I’ve investigated thoroughly. There is no retirement visa option. Yes we can spend up to 6 months there as tourists. That’s it.
Also, as most of us here have done pretty well with investments, we can’t just up and leave everything behind and walk away. We can leave, with great difficulty, but it takes time to wind everything down.

I love Canadians. Your media is bought and paid for, and your schools indoctrinate. Fortunately, as things get worse in Canada under globalist creep Carney and his costly and absurd net zero agenda, it will force people to wake up. The alt right media is having an impact, even in Canada. My favorite Canadians are right here in the tent. You will prevail. The truth always eventually does.
GMG had a great discussion with the two librarians that you know in the Mobile Library.
As it turns out the female is like us. She questioned the shots and everything else, so passed on them.
She knows how bad it is for the younger generation coming out of school with no hope for owning anything to live in.
I suspect she will vote NDP which is her right even though she knows how bad things have become. It does appear we are sleepwalking into our own demise. Mentioned Gold and she knew nothing, typical person that way.
The goodnatured Metis owns gold and lots of guns but someone forced him to take the shots. His immune system is completely off. I believe he was told not to wear his MAGA hat at work a long time ago. He is a steadfast Conservative.
So even a person with kids who will never own a house, vote for the same old policies without knowing about the WEF. Discouraging to say the least.

The only good news is we now have a much more awake Conservative Electorate…most have been asleep at the wheel and not really into politics…but witness the mass turnouts for Poilievre ..The Passion is there now …we have 40% …Not enough but IF we can weather the next 4 years ( horror story) we have a chance …The Americans had their 4 years from hell …now it’s our turn

I do have 2 Daughters that are Dual Citizens and permanent residents so it sounds like I have the option
I have been considering it often but as you say Roots are difficult to move …

GMG, note that just as the popular media sold the idea when Hillary was going to defeat DJT1 and Kamala was going to trounce DJT2 (we all know what happened vs. Biden), doesn’t mean it’s actually popular opinion (DJT supporters don’t respond to polls) – rule #1 – THEY and their AGENTS LIE, mostly to influence their constituents, not we the opposition (it’s too obvious now). We love your (and Columbia’s) anecdotes and yes many (possibly the majority) have been infected with the MSM/WEF/smart phone (goog/apple) ‘news’ mind virus (esp. those in the cities – as in the USA) but, at least for my part there is no celebrating or taunting intended in any way/shape/form – apologies if posts were mis-stated. Considering relocating to a diff’t country is NO SMALL task. If things get too bad (say on par with UK), 100% guarantee, Conservative Americans and leadership (hopefully will be in power) will open doors of opportunity. The leftists in the US and Canada’s mission now (driven by european interests I might add) is to create division and spite. Many will fall for it but fewer than before the C19 jabs and Truckers Convoy – I’m hopeful, and the US is by no means ‘out of the woods’ either. Americans have more in common culturally with CAN more than any other country in the world IMO, just that many here don’t realize it because the majority of ‘news’ is still filtered by leftists. Remember how much US citizen $ was donated and support extended to the Can Truckers convoy while we were under the same BOOT.
I can’t believe anyone would be happy about what has been going on in Canada. Don’t know what to say if it gets as bad as it seems like it might maybe there is no choice but to go somewhere else. Where that is? No clue. Good luck.

I also want to wait until the results are in before planning anything. I hope you are correct in your prediction. Hey, we lived through the Covid insanity of 4 years and survived by the odd “Fuck you” and just ignoring the idiots.
Too bad that TDS has been exploited by the so called rejuvenated Liberal/WEF Party. Even people who had abandoned The Turd have gotten behind Carney with help from the MSM. Yes, it could be the shots that altered their perception. Who knows. It’s been said that 85% of the people are stupid (followers) which leaves 15% as the thinkers. I’m not running down those forced to take the shots. Vancouver (Lower Mainland) had a real chance at change but now I would not be surprised if the Liberals make a clean sweep.
My neighbours and I are getting together for a Last Supper party this evening. Reminiscent of the 2021 movie “Silent Night” where every one believes the Government that a toxic gaseous wind enveloping the world will cause a painful death so EVERYONE needs to take a suicide pill. I won’t spoil the ending but it shows how people go mad in herds.
