Loading ...Kremlin Lavishes Even More Praise On Trump Hours After He Called For Putin To Stop Ukraine Attacks
Putin’s foreign minister Sergei Lavrov lavished praise on Trump during an interview with the US outlet CBS cited by Russian state news agency TASS.
He said Trump “is probably the only leader on Earth, who recognized the need to address the root causes of this situation.”
Pointing to the White House’s push for a rapid resolution to the war, Lavrov also praised Trump for aligning with Russia over whether or not Ukraine should be in Nato.
Lavrov said: “He said it was a huge mistake to pull Ukraine into Nato, and this was a mistake by the Biden administration, and he wants to rectify this.”
The minister suggested Russia is ready to reach an agreement with the US over the war, too, although he warned some elements need to be “fine tuned”.
He said: “We are ready to reach a deal. But there are still some specific points, elements of this deal which need to be fine tuned, and we are busy with this exact process.”
Lavrov added that there are “several signs that we [Russia and the US] are moving in the right direction”.
As far as the Russian government is concerned, there is not enough butter in the whole country with which to slaver on this orange man in order to make him their friend. I commend their approach, and I’m sure the captains of their dairy industry agree!
