It is quite possible that the flow across the Cdn-US border is greater than what is confiscated. The BC-WA border is across many mountains that would be easy for the Cartels to cross. I have no idea as I’m not in the business.
I have witnessed the entry into the US of many young persons (possibly 50 or so) seeking a visa. These seekers fly into a Cdn airport near the border and someone meets them and takes them to the Border crossing. The time we witnessed this it was at the Peace Arch Crossing.
I was requested to go inside to clear my name as it was flagged for being on Fully’ site. Just kidding. The nice inside Border Agent was baffled why I was asked to come inside. He placed a note on my file that there was no reason. The female agent outside did not like me I guess. While all this was occurring I heard what was going on in the lines beside me.
I was shocked when I heard that the “Drivers” admitted that they did not know their passengers, only were told where to pick them up and take them to the border. To be fair they did come through the agents and were given some form of Visa or papers.
When I asked what was going on, my Agent replied something like “You don’t want to know. Don’t ask.” as he shook his head. I took that for I’m just putting in my time until retirement and pension.
You suggest it is a marketing problem, similiar to the Dems(aka Kamala) saying the reason she lost was because they weren’t getting the message across when it was the message why they lost. In this case those numbers may be correct but is it because there isn’t a problem, or because the problem is the border was wide open? That is probably because both countries were too lax. Neither the Turd, nor Biden wanted to stop the illegals, the drugs and the guns, or were just ambivalent.
