THESE GOLDBALLOON EXPERIENCES
ARE A WELCOMED DOSE OF REALITY ….A MUCH NEEDED ONE.
HATS OFF ( MASKS TOO ) TO THE BALLOONMAN FOR BEING AN ASTOUNDING PART OF THE GOLDTENT COMMUNITY
Now here is the picture from the Mountains in Remote Tajikistan…a Lake at almost 15,000 ft. First light no less .
None of us will ever have had nor been able to imagine the experiences Bill is having
And we get to come along from the safety of our couches and see the highlights…with commentary !
PS….WHAT DO YOU SEE WHEN YOU FOCUS ON THE 5 PEAKS ?
……….
The Middle of Everything
+1…
Thanks, Fully. Glad you and others see this in the way you do. BTW Chapdara Lake sits at 14,900′.
Some people like to get high on the couch and some people get really high….sheesh
I went to Cusco Peru once…was supposed to go to Machu Pichu ..but got serious altitude sickness
11,000 ft….I had to fly back to Lima pronto…
And you are walking around with an ass up and own these mountains for weeks
WTF ?
The biggest luxury I allow myself is time. One-way tickets are something that might scare most people, not understanding the real freedom of having no limits. Altitude sickness is from hurrying faster than the physical body wants to go.
These are great pics and experiences GoldBalloon. It reminds me of when I hiked to Base Camp of Mt. Everest when I was 32 and that was 30 years ago. Yikes – how time flies. Thanks for bringing back some great memories. I’d love to do some travelling like that again.
Just do it! Go!!!
Which base camp did you go to, in Nepal or Tibet?
There are a couple photos here of me at the Mt. Everest base camp in Tibet, at Rongbuk:

31 years ago. But time has gone v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y for me, intentionally. It’s easy to regulate.
I fly, not time 😉
Your posts are a pleasant and important antidote to the corruption, greed and evil actions exposed in most articles!
Thank you so much GB for bringing us along on your incredible journey. So much beauty.
