A ski friend from WA state has had a bad year with surgery and his brother dying  after fighting Cancer for the past year.

He arrived in Canada a couple of weeks ago.  All three shots. Had the usual fear of testing positive at the border and after.

Won’t go into the details but he has avoided almost all contact with others for fear of the dreaded Covid testing.  Why?   He needs to return to WA for more surgery for the same condition.  Nothing Covid related.  Needless to say I did not get to socialize with him this visit.  His greatest fear was catching Covid and getting the dreaded positive test and throwing off surgery.

This is the life of the triple and soon to be four shotted.  I am now understanding the fear they face every day.  This man is a shell of the one I knew a few years ago.

I may not be able to cross the border, fly or eat out but I don’t live in fear.
