Anectodally, I had COVID in June of last year. At that time we had squat in terms of possible treatments. About a week into my illness I took NAC. This was based on data that it improves the course of influenza illness. I’ve prescribed it numerous times to patients to prevent contrast induced nephropathy (this was at one point the standard of care and has now fallen out of favor) without a single adverse reation. Remarkably, within 24 hours I turned the corner and never looked back. I have a small amount left I’m keeping in storage in case a loved one needs it as it is difficult to obtain. You must wonder why??? Perhaps because it works! I’ve give NAC hundreds of times and not one single issue.
