PROFOUND
I am fortunate to be a beta reader for John Manley’s Novel “Much Ado About Corona”
A Dystopian Love Story. This is going to be a blockbuster must read novel .
He just sent me a final copy of a rewritten chapter.
It starts with a Quote which is so simple and so profound , it Floored me .
And herein lies the answer to why most of our friends and family are going along with the Covidian narrative .
“THE FEAR OF FREEDOM IS THE FEAR OF RESPONSIBILITY “
Joost A. M. Meerloo ( 1903 – 1976 )
Dutch American Psychoanalyst
““THE FEAR OF FREEDOM IS THE FEAR OF (Personal) RESPONSIBILITY”
and fyi, Joost rhymes with Toast, and starts like Yes.
Responsibility gives meaning to life.
I agree, though I tend towards taking on too much responsibility.
Sadly, though, being a slave, taking orders from top-down, “stopping the spread,” also brings a pseudo-meaning to life, which is why I think many go along with the COVID measures.
Thanks for the mention, Gary! Meerloo’s book, “The Rape of the Mind,” is a must read for anyone who doesn’t want their mind raped. Kate Wand provides a ten-minute summary of the book here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygTxeYEyFi4
