The dollar is about to spike higher. This will probably be the excuse for the final metals drop that was inevitable. The good news is that the metals are getting very close to their likely bottoms. After hitting them they will need some sideways before the explosive bull market resumes, likely in December. 
I agree with your stated views and it is the course I am expecting, however I would not expect a sideways bottom. That gives too many anticipating buyers an opportunity to build their portfolios. I more expect a powerful move off the bottom thus denying sidelines their lusted for entry point. Might be better to buy early
