     No. Not doing much trading lately, too focused on my penny book business. Buy for 50 cents, sell for $20 to $200, or more. Get paid, pay down debt. Got a lot of debt I need to pay off before the economy tanks. Wife and I want to be independent of the economy by the end of 2020, other than the mortgage, which is at 4%.

       What, pray tell, is a “penny book business?” Inquiring minds would like to know.

   Its a play on words. You know about penny stocks. Most investors in them lose money, myself included. So I decided to focus on what I know best, used books. I’ve had an open shop selling books for almost 35 years, and have been selling them online since 1992. In 2015 Goodwill Industries opened up their Outlet shop in our very small city (pop 24K in the Shenandoah Valley). Its been a veritable gold mine ever since. I’ve spent over $9000 buying inventory from them, at prices never exceeding 50 cents per book, and sold some of them for $65,000 leaving me with an inventory of $105,000 that is still for sale. Not including other inventory we have. These are penny books. Most I’ve gotten for one is $650, least is $14. We go 3 times a week, in the morning. About half of the book we buy have ISBN’s and can be scanned to look up prices, the rest do not. But because I have an encyclopedic knowledge of what is wanted by customers I’m able to buy books most of the New Age Amazon booksellers cannot.
