     Been a hot Summer Fully (for us anyway), with 37C at one point (99F). Cooling off into the low 20’s (high 60’s/low 70’s) now. Managed to get 100mm (3 inches) of rain in a couple of hours in a nearby storm nearby as well, which was pretty dramatic. Keeps us on our toes. Nothing approaching Dorian levels of destruction though. My heart goes out to the poor souls who got caught up in that mess. I’ve been following the Donald Tump, sharpie incident with astonishment as well. If he can abuse his powers over something like a weather forecast, can you even begin to imagine the real levels of corruption going on behind the scenes ? If someone took one of my forecasts, changed it, then told me to take the blame when it was wrong, and my forecast was right, I’d tell them go away and grow up. Hard to believe this moron is in the position of power that he is. Not that we are any better off here in the UK !!!

       This is Dave Hunter’s view and he remains calmly hardened on his views … melt up for S&P 500 … gold to hit $1800+, silver $26+, GDX $45+ by year end or by early Spring. But then a hard deflationary bust … something we need to be on guard for … I would prefer a long lasting a healthy bull market over a deflationary bust. However, after the deflationary bust he considers gold/silver to be a great place to be.

           Yeah, don’t think he is … very macro focused and remains stern on his thoughts w.r.t. markets. He has been around a long time, although I just found out more about him recently. Not saying he’s right or wrong, but the FED is behind the curve w.r.t. rate cuts.

           It will be interesting to see what the market does if the FED only cuts 25 basis points next week. If they do nothing, the markets will choke. However, I doubt they serve up a 50 basis point cut … and if they don’t then additional cuts will be warranted this year. The FED already lost it’s credibility years ago.

           Also, I believe they have already started buying bonds since the Jackson’s Hole meetings, without having officially declared QEXXX is now on the table.

   BUT IMO your reply “Yeah, don’t think he is … He has been around a long time” is not a good enough explanation from you. In fact the remainder of your reply smells of obsfucation.
   Let’s say 20 Tenters went to the link you provided, and listened to the 33 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) minute interview with so called ‘David Hunter’. That would mean you’re responsible for wasting a lot of people’s time here by promoting a likely sockpuppet.
   Please do some due diligence before recommending likely sockpuppets…. and pissing me off.

     Relax Paul … I never forced anyone to listen to anything … I’m listening to a lot of different viewpoints … yours in itself is not correct. I think Dave’s viewpoint could be accurate if the FED continues cutting. It is one outcome most are not expecting, therefore it is also possible.

     Regardless, most of my weight leans on Mike Oliver (MSA), Rambus, and Plunger. However, it’s always good to be open to other ideas.

       And after further thought … Dave Hunter’s idea does align somewhat with Plunger’s post-bubble contraction (PBC) thesis he has been espousing for some time. This is the fuel that could drive gold stocks much higher in the future, although after a collapse of course.
