   what a clown….the GDX is up 107% since January and has retraced 13% of that move. I’ve been buying the dip and according to him I would have to be some sort of moron….ha. I will post a chart shortly showing why he is the perfect contrarian indicator and has timed that trash talk to perfection if you enjoy trading the opposite direction of him. Yes, another one of those technical analysis charts that never work…..;)….stay tuned.

   Technically appears to be just a temporary set-back. Its still a C&H but its morphed into a rectangle consolidation.
   It obviously didn’t have the juice to bust 1309 the first run at it. Needs to draw back and build some cause for a while. But what we see is bull market action, that’s what’s important. Not trying to prove one is righter than another

   I think people just need to put their analysis out there and leave it at that. Who is ever right 100% of the time? Eventually its your hit-rate, not one call or the other that wins out.

   Well, I can understand if he goes after someone here as I myself thought that it started to look like a version of King World News in here with regards to trashing well known pm writers.

   I totally agree that a huge share of the many gurus and experts with pm newsletters/subscriber services are not very reliable or even competent but that doesn´t really justify trashing them like there is no tomorrow. So yes, I do understand if one or two of them responds, regardless if they are right or wrong.

   Savage may have pulled out his subsribers way too early but he was as far as I know the only “expert” – including Spock – that absolutely nailed the pm bottom to the day, and so very clearly, and the same day went to all-in in his pm portfolio. Savage may or may not also have many who are negative towards him as many say, but fact is, he was the only one who nailed the pm bottom to the day. As I was a subscriber back then, I also now for a fact that he nailed most turns in SM during a very long period and I was pretty impressed.

   I do not mean that I am a fan of Savage, or any other “guru or expert”, I just mean that I do understand that he feels a need to respond.

     For a professional service provider to publish an article for the sole purpose of trying to dress down someone with a contrary opinion is the height of disgusting.

       When someone calls more bottoms than there are in a nursery at the hospital, well . . one is bound to be right.

       Yes, no one is 100% right. We all get it wrong at times. No question about it. The issue is about risk management . . . and that is what keeps you in the game. The issue I have with Savage and how many people he has blown up is that he does not understand or apply risk management . . . especially when he suggests buying 3x leveraged funds as a buy-hold perspective. Sadly, he does not understand how much he really does not know about the market. I think that is why most view him as “dangerous.”

         And, btw – we caught the bottom in not just the overall metals market and GDX, but even had these buys (among many others) in 2015:

         SA – bought 9/16 5.81
         RIC – bought 9/16 2.59
         ABX – bought 10/23 7.64

         In fact, we opened our long-only miners portfolio in September of 2015 to prepare for the bottoming.

           Here is my miss . . after nailing the top in Sept of 2011, the market declined to my FIRST downside target which was approximately a 20% correction. I then saw a micro bullish structure off that low, and got bullish again, only to see a few months later that I was wrong and had to turn bearish again. Trading metals is all about identifying your targets, adjusting, and risk management.

           It is a big difference between pointing out that someone has made a string of very bad calls and to trash the persons very existence which was what we saw here for a couple of weeks.

           Also, I hope Fully that we do not take lightly on if posters here starts using the forum for marketing purposes more than just posting their work, then it will loose its appeal very fast. Using the comments section for marketing is not really that attractive.

       Well, he did leave out the name of the analyst who´s chart he used. Several here did not in their strong comments.

       Again, not defending Savage, just saying that the behaviour I saw here for a couple of weeks trumps Savage making bad calls.

         Fully, now we have Avi, Trader Dan, Jordan, NFTHR(or whatever his name is) etc. I do not know about everybody else here but I am here to see the really good original, non subscriber material, that we have here. The other stuff I know where to find. If it gets to much of that here, I will move on and a few more I would guess.

           Graddy, of course you are defending Savage (who really is dangerous), and then taking a shot at those of us who are posting our analysis that usually gets posted in our paid sites. IF you don’t like it, then don’t read it. But, please don’t insult us by being disingenuous.

           Nope, no more NFTRH Graddhy. Had a bit of a dust up with Fully (we don’t see eye to eye) and I’ve moved on. Well, sort of. I’ll check posts here and maybe comment once in a while because I think there are some good views and chartists. But I’m just one of the guys now. Never was a guru anyway and certainly not focused only on gold like most of the others. BTW, the name is Gary.
