These comments should really be made off-line — they are primarily formatting thoughts — no comments on the actual analysis itself — mainly presentation. All comments are rhetorical – trying to help — not criticisms — looking GREAT!
1) I would put everything below “STRATEGY LINE” and “The Core 5” in much smaller type size — this is JUST an index — bigger type reads as if it’s important — obviously the type cannot be too small either. If it interferes wth how report is perceived then “Company/Share/Fraser index” could always be placed at bottom of each page instead of top??
2) This –> “? Sovereign intervention: exceptional government action altering ownership or economics after capital was committed.” is a very rare situation and perhaps should not be included in the index. Instead can you fit it into the one company (WEF) “why it can change section”??
3) #2 would bring FRASER PPI back in line with the others (Strategy/Company/Share)
4) FRASER PPI — I think this ” (#1 best, #68 least favorable).” might be reversed — all the CORE 5 are 68’s — are you saying they are the least favorable — I doubt it
5) Share Structure Quality — your column is labeled “S/O” –> what does the “O” stand for –> or should it be “S/S”
6) JURISDICTION/PPI –> why the first number ie: AYA says 25/68 — what does the “25” stand for? — is it needed??– You already show Morocco
7) AVINO — is Avino really jumping from 2.7M ozeq to 6.6 M ozeq or is thata PEA for all future years? Just confusing that’s all.
8) Heliostar — do you need to add a dictionary at the END of the report for acronyms (your audience may or may not know what “FS” stands for).
9) All CORE 5 — “No verified new Q3 operating release this morning.” “No new operating update.” “No new production release.” –> these are THE industry norms so probably not worth repeating on every CORE 5 update. Most days there is no news from mining companies……….
10) Core conclusion:No membership changes — is that the same as “order ranking score is unchanged from last report”??– actually I don’t like my idea either but am sure you know what I mean … the KISS principle.
11) WHERE is the CORE 5 SCORE on the CORE FIVE Group?? It shows up in the challengers — am sure your associate calculates it anyway?
12) Today’s RESEARCH NOTES — AA I don’t like how this section reads overall — hard on the eyes — looks like you’ve moved to a three page format (which is OK) and gives you more room on the 3rd page — perhaps separating the entries with a space might help. But keep it to 3 pages.
I like how you have added links within this section for ease of research by the reader. Makes me wonder if there might be value to adding in a link within the CORE 5 and CHALLENGERS sections — perhaps clicking on the company name OR maybe the trading symbol takes the reader to the web page of the company???? Not sure if your associate can handle this automatically as the companies included in the CORE 5 change over time……….
13) last line — I assume this disclaimer is just for positioning purposes. Too weak to protect YOU when going live.
EXCELLENT WORK AA….YOU GOT SOMETHING VALUABLE THERE 🙂
