Sadly, this is why Carney was “installed” as PM after the Turd became unelectable and universally hated even by his fanbase.
Carney’s task is to finish the job of dismantling the middle class in Canada. He does not want a deal with the US. It was never the plan.
Easier to bring in more Socialism via UBI as the country’s unemployment and poverty rates climb. Socialism being the gateway to Communism/Marxism.
If housing construction and all the related expenditures end, Canada will have lost one of the main drivers of the economy.
In The Lower Mainland, the building cranes are still visible. They need to finish what was started but I’m not sure how many shovel ready new builds are in the works to perpetuate these jobs.
Many of the current crop under construction (rental and condos) were planned and started before our population started to fall from the exodus of the Foreign Student Visa group and those fleeing to better places abroad. Successful, foreign-born Canadians retiring to their birth country where life is better. Can’t blame them.
It was the past ten years of the Green agenda that placed us in this position of weakness. We are no longer business friendly, can no longer keep our grads in Canada and only attract the Third World. The Third Worlders will not be able to find jobs once the construction ends. It’s UBI after that. Print, print, print!
Now if Ontario’s Auto industry and the related auto parts plants scattered all over Southern Ontario shutter, it’s game over for Ontario.
