Actually Rand Paul gave a press conference BEFORE he took the tour of Fort Knox and said he was sure it was all there — to be best of my knowledge there was no press interview or publications after his tour.
SO the media reported all last week that RP said the gold was all there — but I have not seen any confirmation after his tour.
It is VERY positive news that RP was about to be given a tour at all!
As many have said — and anyone who doesn’t is selling BALONEY …
(a) you cannot say its all there from a mere visual inspection;
(b) most claim that what is there is not of central bank settlement quality … its from lower grade coin melt.
(c) without an audit, you don’t know how much of what’s there is encumbered
The fact that RP didn’t qualify his statements (with legalese care) tells you its just done for show.
Have a full audit done (meeting informed third party stipulations) then have RP and others spot check the results in detail.
