“This isn’t random decline. It’s the predictable result of forcing every corner of human life to serve ideology. Art goes first because it’s the easiest to capture. Joy goes last because that’s the real target. A population that still knows how to enjoy things without permission is hard to control.”

The decline of joy has been notable since Covid. I’ve find myself describing leftists as joyless, but in fact, I am often joyless when I see communists voted in and the majority of the electorate is complacent.
I think it is why we have all enjoyed the joyful World Cup posts. And why I will be attending a game later today even though I am not a soccer fan. I want in. I need to feel joy again.
Enjoy the game, pedro – you deserve some joy; we all do!!
