India, the world’s third-largest consumer of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), faces a supply gap of about 400,000 barrels per day of the key cooking fuel from pre-war levels, with domestic production unable to make up for the fall in imports caused by the Iran war. What’s more, domestic production of LPG is nearing full capacity, which means the supply gap might persist for as long as imports don’t fully resume.
