I Love This Chart
I cannot stress enough, how much I love the Hecla chart and it’s recent trading action. As I have stated a few times recently, it was the best last year, had a 50% correction off the high, and is going to be one of the best, if not the best, again this year. (This is not investment advice, just my opinion.)
Don is impressed as they just paid off their long term debt. DD’s order of importance.
Pay off debt
Pay a 3 to 4% dividend
Buy back shares….
Leads to great gains for investors. That is, if you aren’t going to buy companies at a reasonable price.
Bought some more today at 6.5% down. Too big of a bargain when it’s easily going to over $30 soon.
How would you compare them to USAS? I’ve owned USAS and it’s consistently outperformed HL, but HL just seems more formidable and stable, not sure why though. Just a feeling.
Not really comparable. Fall into different buckets. Hecla is the premier North American producer with much less jurisdictional risk. USAS is a good junior with plenty of upside but much more risk. Complimentary for a balanced portfolio but apples to oranges as with any smaller junior vs a larger scale producer.
Paul Hewitt CEO of USAS and Eric Sprott’s backing make USAS a far better bet than HL IMO. Not just my opinion but I have made a big bet on it as well. USAS has far more upside. HL is actually somewhat of an empty suit company. But they will fly when the sector rises as it is a US company and has name recognition. As Don says when the public comes in they will buy HL like candy, I agree, but my money is with USAS.
AYA and GLGDF will be high performers as well
Have large positions in both AYA and GLGDF which are doing well and have enormous upside. Thanks for your opinion concerning USAS. I might take some from HL and put it into USAS and have the best of both worlds. Tapped out now to add any more without taking from another, but I value both opinions too much just to stick with one so I will split the difference. Thanks to both of you.
Frankly all the recognizable names are going to do well. Myself I am looking for 10+ baggers not just 5 baggers. It is not greed that is driving me it is the recognition that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, better not miss it.
Great discussion all. Hi Ho Silver Awaaaaay
