Inclusion Canada CEO Krista Carr told Parliament that disabled Canadians feel pressure to choose assisted suicide and that this is a ‘weekly’ occurrence due to MAiD expansion to the non-terminally ill.
LifeSteNews reports: During an October 8 session of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Carr, an advocate against Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD), explained that Canada’s expansion of MAiD to the non-terminally ill has led to people with disabilities being pressured to end their lives during unrelated medical visits.
EDIT >> at some point before becoming old and infirm (i.e. captured), Canadians should realize they are ruled by sociopaths and LEAVE while they still can (citizen majorities still express no recognition their national policy is rooted in Europe – which has fallen). Also, there will come a day with judicial debate on whether someone actually consented to MaID, without perverse incentives, and not demographically/ideologically selected.
Not perfect by any stretch, but the US seems to be the last hope for western leadership which opposes evil.
We would love to leave, but where do you suggest? We all know what’s happened to Europe and the UK, Japan does not want anyone who is not Japanese, ditto for Hungary. The US does not want us either unless we are willing to fork over millions of dollars and know that in all likelihood we won’t get it back.

I found this site helpful GMG, but agree pathways to entry are very narrow (demographically) with large costs in terms of TIME and/or MONEY, many which have neither. Of course there is the lottery FWIW. Maybe migration from Canada in particular is on the low end and it might be easier.
Reading through it, what is discouraging is how fine the line for application and acceptance is when for YEARS, even DECADES, the southern border has been a free-for-all. A slap in the face of anyone wishing to come in through the front door and also to existing US taxpayers who must support them. Maybe get started with a lottery application, possibly a relative connection and maybe one day hopefully not soon, assemble a compelling case for political asylum – ‘they’re trying to sell me on MAiD, please get me out of here!’ Also how immigration is handled in this country is increasingly political so the winds could easily change through the process – three years until possible regime change.

Thank you YYZ, that’s a really good site. Unfortunately we have zero family connections there so will have to explore other routes. I have often thought of the political asylum route and have delved into it; apparently though one has to have eliminated all assets in one’s country of origin, escaped to the US, and then has to prove that, if they were to return to their country of origin their life would “be in danger”. So I don’t think that would work yet…..having said that, if Carnage carries on the same path it may be that we are offered an escape by the US (subject to conditions of course). Fingers crossed!
