They were bamboozled by others in their generation who held the reins of power in the 60s,
who really kicked off the acceleration of the decay after the JFK coup.
The Boomers (of the 60s and 70s) were too young to understand what was going on, so far out of view.
And their parents — OUR PARENTS == the Greatest Generation but as SENIORS — were too NAIVE to appreciate the rot in the system. They watched Walter Cronkite, David Brinkley and Chet Huntley, and Peter Jennings, etc to get their read on the world. They were left CLUELESS.
And that continued into GFC and beyond through Occupy.
WHAT YOU CAN BLAME BOOMERS for is their general lack of critical thinking.
If Huxley and Orwell could see the future for where it was headed decades before, how could so many others not when it was at the very end of their noses.
Agree with you 100% FGC. It’s gotten to the point where, when I see someone in this age category (and yes, I fall smack in the middle of the boomer demographic) I automatically think things like “idiot” “Karen” “lib-tard”….you get the picture.
It’s also the reason why, since the beginning of the scam-demic, I’ve lost 80-90% of those in my peer group that I used to associate with. That includes relatives too. Goldtent members aside, I’ve given up hope of making friends with anyone. My generation, especially the females, have embraced the covid narrative, voted liberal, and are the first to scream what a bad man Trump is, even though they will complain like hell about the immigrants, our shitty health care etc.
I am ashamed to be in this demographic and am beginning to understand why the younger people look at us with derision
