I’m not enamoured of Luongo’s theories. This one stands apart for its silliness. The idea that Russia would respond to a nation saddening terrorist attack on innocents by surreptitiously running a cargo ship into a bridge pillar is demeaning to Russia’s integrity, and its capabilities. When the great bear chooses to roar she will be heard clearly. This squeaky behaviour is the contemporary west’s modus operandi, as witnessed by the cowardly attack at the Crocus theatre, and the launching of rockets into residential neighbourhoods.
This isn’t what Luongo said in this video – he argues that the country with the “most invested interest” in creating a scenario where it “appears” that Russia did this –> is the UK.
His theory being that if Russia blames the US from Crocus and US blames Russia for Philadelphia — that will draw USA into hot kinetic war with Russia — which in turn will provide protection for the UK.
It’s complicated reasoning — many would have trouble with this theory — but he doesn’t say Russia took the bridge down.
