Transportation costs
FYI – I work in the transportation and logistics industry based in Canada.
I have a senior exec position within a well established service provider.
We are focused in Food and consumer goods.
The cost to move freight Cross border and Domestically is out of control.
On one particular lane, loads that we moved for 3500$ in early Jan, were going for $7000 last week and this week the same loads are going for $9000 + . approx 200% increase. This is normal on all lanes.
I would call this is hyperinflation within the transportation industry.
Will prices settle down? Yes, I think they will come down within 6-12 months but there will be a new much higher base rate in place.
On the positive side, I read that intermittent fasting is a healthy life style choice.
This will be encouraging many people to pursue OMAD diets (Sorry for bad humour) 🙂
Thanks for that insider insight Sir Walnut…much appreciate your expertise…please keep us informed
