Nova Scotia judges won’t have to follow the same vaccination rules as others paid by the taxpayers of the province.

While most unvaccinated provincial government employees face the prospect of losing their job, or at least their pay, at the end of the month, that’s not the case for judges.

“Judges are not civil servants, nor are they employees of the government. As such, judges are not subject to the same policies and procedures as federal or provincial employees. Instead, the chief of each court works with the members of their bench to develop administrative policies for that court.”
