What Can We Learn About COVID Tyranny From Australia And Afghanistan?

   Well, that is an outstanding read. Thanks a ton for posting it.

   I mentioned in an earlier post/comment that I attended a republican town hall meeting in Florida last night. The anger and frustration is palpable. The rep that held it was outstanding. smart guy, true patriot, but would NEVER resort to violence to resist the progressive commie dictators amongst us.

   My intent was to shake his hand and let him know my appreciation for his engagement in the swamp/cesspool of D.C. The line to get photos taken with him was long, so I got into a couple of conversations with others, one of them a cop. He flatly agreed that we are headed to armed conflict, no way to avoid it, and aren’t you glad you are in Florida, a free state? Yup, I thank my stars for that.

   Had another conversation with a chiropractor – very smart guy, knows the constitution cold. We had a dense, very dense, conversation about how we got here, and what it would take to “undo it.” Decades and decades of work. He believes is possible, I don’t. To me, the only logical outcome is armed conflict with “authorities” whom I have already deem illegal/unconstitutional. Good conversation, we agreed to disagree, but I commended him for being willing to fight the good fight.

   I find the blog post you put up most encouraging. At that meeting last night, I’d estimate 150-200 people there, standing room only (they need a bigger room!) Many eager and willing to take on the progressive commies (democrat liberals) in hand-to-hand combat if necessary.

   Among this gathering there were predictable nut jobs, people with agendas who got their moment on the stage but then couldn’t sit down and shut up. Some very rude people in this age of rudeness. But boy, they love America, they love freedom, they love the constitution.

   I had a follow-on conversation with a small clan of six folks in the parking lot. Still irate that Biden is in office; enraged at the federal government, the border, Afghanistan, congress, etc etc etc. Every day folks, one a veteran, I was able to provide stats that they couldn’t quite get right (how many votes did Trump get, that kind of thing.) The vet, a good 20 years younger than me, was really upset about the Afghanistan situation. I suggested he would enjoy reading a great book from on-the-ground army guys. He asked me to repeat it so he could put it in his iPhone: “Dog Company”

   I warned him he would be enraged when he reads it.

   My wife gets upset when I say, but her “level” of upset is declining rapidly, when I repeatedly say, “There is no good the government will do for you or to you. Government is your enemy, not your friend.”

   But truth is truth – the founding fathers knew exactly that – government is like fire, to be restrained and contained and tightly controlled. WE let it get out of control. WE are to blame. But now that the fire is in a runaway situation, it needs, like fire, to be put out.
