   Nothing too new that hasn’t been out there. Nanoparticles and their weird biological effects have been out there for years now.

   And a point that isn’t new from me–I mentioned it months ago. Scott Atlas made his name writing about the blood brain barrier (1980s) soon after emerging from his neuroradiology training. It was not original research so much as detailed review of the BBB, including description that the entire concept is like a cartoon or caricature–there are multiple (3) components that affect what goes and doesn’t go across such that the term BBB is so oversimplified as to be close to being wrong. There was a fair amount (a major topic) he did not go into and I do not know whether he did not know about it or he was just clamming up at that time about some things. Nothing that wasn’t in the public literature.

   As in so many things I wonder what goes on behind the scenes, and what goes on behind them (layers and layers). Why did Trump (many questions about him) appoint (assuming Trump like other major public figures isn’t just an actor/puppet and actually does things on his own) a neuroradiologist of all people to be his advisor on Covid? Infectious disease, virology, immunology, epidemiology would seem more relevant unless it was just to enhance Trump’s reputation as being off, as being loose cannon. Did it have anything to do with Atlas’s past stature as expert in BBB? More or less fortuitous? No clue here.
