Informative and Entertaining
With the many websites providing gold and silver commentary and analysis, I find “The Gold Update” by Mark Mead Baillie, to be both informative and very entertaining. I was surprised that in his most recent edition(see link below) he discusses his analysis of the Sept to Dec. seasonal trading in gold. The surprise was not that he would be reviewing it now, since we just began this period on the calendar. Rather, it is that I have personally observed myself, a pattern for this period over the fifty years that I have followed gold. He covers the period from the perspective of since 2000, broken in half and the differences he found. His analysis is professional and very precise. I admit that my anlaysis is more observational and not precise. While I didn’t realize the difference in the two ten year periods, nothing in his figures disuades me from my opinion that in Most years one can usually wait to buy gold (not necessarily the gold miners, but mostly so) until just around Thanksgiving, before any large upside move gets underway. http://www.demeadville.com/050920_The_Gold_Update.html
