   Wow…I just read the comments and the Lefties are in shock

   They are coming down very hard on Bill for introducing this idea .

   To me the guy just makes sense…

   But 90% of the comments are negative.

   Many say they rather enjoy staying home they didn’t like their jobs anyhow. and it doesn’t really matter to the economy !

   Just give them them $1000 Basic Income and they’re good to self isolate indefinately.

   Most think this guy is nuts for proposing opening slowly with minimal testing

   Amazing how many are willing to just stay home for however long it takes for a vaccine ….or get to massive testing

   I guess I am naive …I thought most people would embrace this middle ground compromise .

   PS… I really don’t get the idea of massive testing.

   So you have a business that employs 100 people and 1 tests positive and you track down anybody who has been in contact with him for the last 14 days

   grocery stores , movie theater , kids soccer game , ALL co workers…Assuming you can find them all you will have hundreds of people to call and say..hey sorry but you cant go to work for 14 days .

   .What if the wall mart greeter tests positive ? Eh ?

   A dental office patient tests positive…close the office for 14 days..isolate all staff and contact all patients that attended the day he was there and keep them home as well.

   has anybody thought this through ?

     It’s a good thing not all liberals are ‘lefties’, eh? I am in total agreement with Dr. Katz, who is the most reasonable expert I have heard. In the lock-down he says we are ‘changing the date’ of transmission. Which is another version of my statement — that we are ‘taking turns’ getting the virus. And IMO if in the next 6 months enough people got their Turn, maybe we could mitigate the Perfect Storm next November when Seasonal Flu hits along with Covid… which might have mutated to a more lethal form.

     In the meantime, I agree the best thing to do is to get healthier & improve immune systems. I’m not so sure tracing is going to be effective — it seems impractical and impossible to accomplish. It’s Common Sense that we need to rely on in the next 6 months. And it’s surprising how much common sense I see on Both sides of the political spectrum right now, in my circles at least. In the end it all comes down to the individual, and I think most folks really are trying to deal with this pandemic responsibly.
