         Some big differences, though. NVO always has had the same focus from 2016 (and perhaps earlier) and kept on it consistently and methodically. I don’t think it has had entire management turnover. It has always had a big partner (NEM earlier, which sold its interest to KL — now also a JV with Sumitomo I believe).

   I suspect there will be a good ride starting early next year.
   NTA, and no guarantees …..
   but this IS NOT A NEW BULL MARKET … and hasn’t been one for 8 years.
   And if you don’t believe me. You will once we get into 2021.
   Make the most of the coming last hurrah next year.

   Of the many, many stupid things I have done in my life, one of them was to listen to Sinclair’s admonitions to get certificates or DRS (Spock also recommended having certificates or DRS). A second was to go with Spock’s private placements when I should have known perfectly well by then that it would mean certificates or DRS. It has become increasingly for to get US brokerages to take certificates or DRS from companies with some combination of

   low price per share
   low trading volume
   low market capitalization
   no US listing

   (criteria vary brokerage to brokerage). (It is also all but impossible for anyone but the super-rich as far as I know to get Non-US brokerage accounts now for practical purposes, so that’s not a route.)

   You have trouble even getting brokerages to declare a company bankrupt for you. Transfer agents (or at least Computershare) will not sell the shares for you as far as I know.

   I know a brokerage that will take the shares and sell them, but for a huge fee of I think $500 per certificate — not so enticing when the certificate is worth far less.

   There is also now an ordeal of paperwork the US Treasury is requiring each year for each of these essentially worthless pieces of trash.

   I have been trying hard to sell all or nearly all my PFICs (passive foreign investment companies) but I am stuck with some of them for this reason. One or two I don’t mind holding. This one I am not exactly pleased with.

   I wouldn’t mind the financial losses. That comes with the game and can be offset by the occasional big wins. I just feel so stupid for having gotten imprisoned because of laws, regulations, and brokerage rules into massive time-wasting. I am usually only moderately emotional about investing, but I really and truly loathe Nexus I have to say, but because of my own stupidity in having done the private placement and being stuck with a certificate and ordeals of paperwork.

     I feel your pain. Same true here. Flly and you have articulated well.

     These stock do well only in special market financial condition/cycle. No one talks about it. OR knows it.
     Investing in these stocks biz gold is going to go higher is not the reason.
