   Given other silver stocks are also very strong here, they’re sniffing out higher silver prices because of inflation. Commodity and wage inflation.

   I can’t believe how expensive it is to buy basic items in stores these days, it’s incomprehensibly high!

   Other possible reasons:

   manipulation (very much including promotions with heavy breathing by those wanting to dump shares)

   drill results yet to be revealed to the public

   some arguably crazy billionaire or some big institution’s nutty algorithm has decided it’s a great gamble to buy silver stocks that are well known but mainly those of marginal or questionable quality

   (If I were going through charts I would put down my annotation for “too-high-too-fast” or “too fast too high”– meaning don’t buy unless it calms down although it would be dangerous to short — and if I own, consider selling or lightening up)

     Another possibility (in the manipulation category) would be since Friday is stock option expiration is that someone is trying to sucker people into losing money in HL and CDE options, perhaps offsetting and hedging with a contrary position in something like silver futures or more solid precious metal stocks. I haven’t looked at the option open interests so I don’t know, but in theory that could be it. In any case, I see it as potentially the raised tail of a skunk where others may see “break-out”. (But I could be very wrong and would not even come close to thinking of shorting it in case there is a takeover or a big discovery, as might well be the case.)

   I owned CDE back in a long time ago and watched it be stuck in the mud under Wheeler, so I sold. Fast forward to 2014 and I acquired a bunch of CDE through a buyout of my PZG, $2.50ish. Turns out the timing was great as CDE ran to over 15 in short order and for once I was wise enough to ring the register. CDE can definitely run but my money is on AG, MAG, SILV and AXU!
