   I’m guessing the price goes sideways to down for a good long while. I don’t see it going up until we transition out of whatever chaos we are going to be experiencing for the next few years. Debt is the highest ever, and when it starts to liquidate demand for dollars is going to push the dollar higher. Much higher.

   The trading swings/opportunities were much greater then than they are now, percentage-wise. Definitely a fractal look alike but different. I wonder what the cycles were showing at the beginning of your chart, by the way, thanks for posting it. As Northstar says, cross the green line and all bets are off, methinks.

   Based on Plunger, Rambus, and now Michael Oliver’s work I think it is very possible $1360 gold ($1400 gold hit) and maybe even $16.25 silver could be broken to the upside next month (February)! Actually Michael Oliver called this back on 7 December 2018, that within 50 trading days gold’s 5 year highs could be eclipsed! There is a lot moving in it’s favor currently. The FED meeting this week could have an impact on it, but I think it will be minimal and shock a lot of people — me included. I have turned to being an optimist in what has been a painful market. Of course time will tell!

     And like Plunger, Michael Oliver also now sees Uranium having broken out (actually last year). 2019+ should be very interesting if these predictions come true.

     Any particular notion of what happens after they are possibly hit? Another big down?

       Per Michael Oliver’s momentum structural analysis, once $1360 is broken mining stocks will take off (literally overnight) … he already sees assets rotating out of stocks into bonds and gold. He also sees a weaker dollar. He argues mining stocks will be the best performing asset class over the next 2-3 years if $1360 is taken out. I hadn’t fully bought into his conclusions until I began seeing his momentum analysis lead price very accurately. We all need a little extra confidence given the volatile sectors we adore (gold/silver/uranium) and he was the extra boost I needed. It will be interesting to see if his predictions are accurate given how bold they are. Note: he also predicted the turn in the sector before 2016 and his momentum methods also work on the way down and way up in any asset class.

       To answer your question directly, I don’t think another big down. There is too much pessimism still in the sector … if all is accurate along with Plunger’s calls I think a lot of want to be bulls will be caught off guard, literally overnight. I didn’t expect $1300 being pierced last Friday, but it happened. Silver is marching towards $16.25 and if broken then Rambus’ massive cup-n-handle pattern could become reality. Silver $100+ someday soon — maybe JP Morgan knows what they are doing after all.
