Since Stockcharts knows its subscribers email addresses, perhaps they could notify us as to when they have a problem like this and when it might be fixed, assuming they have a backup service provider or, perhaps, post a message here or phone key people like Fully who hopefully would let us know.
This is not good and exposes the inherent danger of relying on digital information, IMHO.

I’ve expressed the same concern about brokerage outages, as with Scottrade when certain servers are offline. They have our email addresses … why not communicate? (Because they are hoping many won’t even notice, and don’t want to advertise their failure to devise effective backups!)
Its annoying to have to frequently attempt to login, unsuccessfully.
A twitter post might help, assuming they have ample followers.
Then word would get out when the fix is applied.
FYI — not a SC user, myself.
I don’t like to complain, generally, but it really is vital to know about financial sites so I’m glad I raised the issue!
