Justice Heather Perkins-McVey in a ruling earlier this month stayed all charges leveled against former Ontario MPP Randy Hillier, who was charged for participating in the 2022 Freedom Convoy against COVID mandates.

The Ontario Superior Court of Justice ruled that the delays in Hillier’s prosecution had violated his right to be tried in a court of law within a reasonable time, which is granted in Section 11(b) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

For the past 32 months, Hillier was banned by the Ontario Court of Justice (OCJ) from posting anything on social media relating to the Freedom Convoy of 2022, or his participation in it. Additionally, he had financial sureties imposed on his family and was for years severely hampered in his ability to speak or move freely as part of his bail conditions.

Earlier this month Australia’s government announced plans to ban anyone under the age of sixteen from using social media.

But that’s not what it’s really about. It’s really about digital identity and removal of anonymity. Think about it – how do you enforce banning anyone under 16 from social media? Well, you need everyone to prove their age before starting an account.

How do they prove their age? Why, with a new Australian government backed digital identity of course.

Perhaps the one that was created by an Act of Parliament in May and is due to come online on December 1st.

Rode the chair with a 40ish woman from Oregon. She is part of her Ski Team Chaperone contingent. Seemed nice enough at first.

On another note, there is hope of a recovery from TDS. Spoke to a business acquaintance yesterday from MI (Democratic Volunteer) who had severe TDS in 2016-20. First call to him since the election, He’s very positive with the new administration. I did not make any comments as I need to work with him and never mention politics. He’s multi-shotted and had severe side effects. Still believes in them. The lead-up to the election was dark for him. But now he has experienced a RECOVERY! Imagine that.
