Gold remains trapped in a tightening consolidation triangle, repeatedly bouncing between its boundaries. Bears defended the upper trendline yesterday, but bulls have regained initiative today, driving price back toward the triangle’s apex. 

Given that the USD 4,100 level held overnight and new buy signals have formed on both the daily and 4H timeframes, the risk/reward for longs looks increasingly favorable. A breakout from this structure appears imminent and could set the tone for the next leg.
