Canada is rich in resources in the ground. Has the potential to be very prosperous.
The Environmental movement and regulations have stymied most nation building projects the past decade.
We could be arguing from strength if resource development had been allowed. We also needed to process much of what we hauled from the ground. Value added higher paying jobs with a focus on technology. We have lost too many qualified people to the US.
This is a classic example of the boiling frog. Most Canadians have been dumbed down and Orange Man Bad is their cry.
We did this to ourselves. If we started today, to turn the country around, it will take a decade of hard work and commitment from all levels of Government to accomplish this.
