Abdolnaser Hemmati has now acknowledged on state television that Iran is no longer exporting oil at all and is simultaneously unable to access its blocked financial resources.

“We are no longer exporting oil at all. This is a reality we acknowledge,” Hemmati said.

That cuts directly into one of the regime’s most important sources of hard currency. Hemmati says the squeeze is spreading across the economy, with oil revenues, tax revenues and social security contributions all declining at the same time.

And the regime has a second major problem: billions of dollars it expected to access remain frozen.

The Islamic Republic had promoted the June understanding with the United States as a major economic breakthrough, claiming roughly $12 billion in frozen assets would become accessible in stages. U.S. officials disputed that the funds would be released unconditionally at the time. (Iran International | Iran International)
Two months later, according to Hemmati, not a single dollar has been released.

The squeeze is now coming from both ends: new oil revenue has been choked off while billions already held abroad remain blocked.

For an economy already struggling with inflation, currency weakness and mounting fiscal pressure, losing the oil lifeline while remaining locked out of foreign reserves creates an increasingly dangerous cash crunch for the regime.

………..’

The Iranians themselves are now admitting what anons have been saying for months: they are completely broke, can’t export oil, can’t import food.

Mass starvation and civil disorder comes next.

Just remember, the Iranians asked for this. Don’t feel sorry for them.
