The pluses outweigh the minuses so far. 6 month a year on the IOM is doable. They even speak a dialect of English:)
Plan A: IOM and play tourist the rest of the year. 2 months skiing in BC. Some time in Australia/NZ and travel in the UK while on the IOM. Time to domicile yourself in a stable country and travel as a tourist as long as you are allowed.
Plan B: Continue the search
Plan C: Stay and get fucked over by the Globalists in Canada
Plan D: Wait for Trump to annex parts of Canada for the resources and move to a US Red State
I would think that PLAN D will crystalize by mid to end of 2027.
At the moment there are other more important distractions for TRUMP but around end of July (CUSMA negotiations) could start his shift to spicy!
Meanwhile the mid-term election focus will be forefront and only after same will it be time for hardcore Canadian education on who controls North America.
I find it hard to imagine the US will allow China ANY control over their northern back yard neighbour.
I must have missed this part — what did Carney say about IOM?
It’s a Tax Haven. He’s likely never visited the Island. He loves avoiding paying taxes though.
Other assets are in the US and his wife works out of the US. A clear indication to find a better place.
It will be expensive to live but the tax savings will more than compensate.
Wokeness is present but more sane people are moving there.
