On January 26, 2026, COMEX silver recorded its largest single-day dollar gain, with the front-month contract settling $14.155 higher at $115.08 per ounce, or a 14.03% increase. The largest single-day percentage gain in silver history was 36.59% on September 18, 1979. This recent surge was driven by extreme geopolitical uncertainty and a weakened US dollar.”                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  While I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting to break that one day record percentage gain any time soon,(although it likely could happen whenever a gold revaluation gets announced, eventually) I do believe we will soon see the daily dollar gain eclipsed.  If not in the last two trading days of this week, by the end of the month of April, would not surprise me in the least.  Fifteen dollars up in one day will seem small potatoes as silver works it’s way much higher from here.
