France is preparing to legalize assisted suicide, Maid, euthanasia and as far as I’m concerned state sponsored killing. That alone is a historic shift, one that isn’t that shocking though. The rest of the globe seems quite alright with killing it’s citizens.

But buried inside the proposal is something even more troubling: provisions that could penalize those who attempt to dissuade someone from accessing assisted death.

The legislation reportedly includes penalties for anyone who attempts to obstruct or interfere with access to assisted death. The intent, according to supporters, is to prevent coercion or manipulation by family members, activists, or religious institutions.
