A further response to Columbia and GMG
…and others.
At some point the dawn will come, but first the darkest hour. Our business is not to surrender to discouragement, and cooperate with evil, but to carry on in our missions, whatever they may be, as God gives us light.
“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall — think of it, always.”
Mohandas K. Gandhi
THANK YOU BOOMER….BOOOM !
I agree with you. Raised
to challenge the belief that one can not get ahead because of this or that excuse. Just made a plan asked lots of questions and plowed ahead. All the time I could have wasted worrying, I completed projects, learned skills and turned hardships into opportunities. Most of us discover that there was always a way around an obstacle or policy but it took more effort and the ability to not care what others thought. The Fuck You attitude.
The hoards are descending upon the Mtn. I wander down around the base of the resort walking the dog, he’s a chick magnet hahahaha.
This Winter my questions are all about Digital IDs and CBDC. Covid is on the backburner and only brought into the conversation as an example of a scam that the majority fell for. Do not fall for the next one. Speak up.
So far the conversations have been overwhelmingly positive. The 20 something males are aware and don’t want any part of this agenda to control their lives.
Not getting much response from young females as usually the males take over the conversation. I wonder if that will kill their chances for pairing up this season.
The difference between the City youth and the Rural youth on the mtn is how they look at life.
In the City I have noticed that those over 30yo have a tendency to favour socialist policies as they are experiencing dead-end jobs that just support rent, food and student loan repayment. They seem despondent. This is the destruction of the middle class but these people will not even join that group on their own. If I mention the trades, they are not interested.
The rural kids are into nature and outdoor activities and have a great outlook on life. Even the foreign workers from Oz, NZ or the UK. Many express the interest of moving permanently to BC. Good Luck. Great outdoor experiences but very unaffordable for them.
Your past note post on the Ron Derrickson of Westbank Indian Reserve gave me a laugh. He had his fingers into lots of business ventures, even finding car deals in Alberta and flipping them for some cash. A small population on that rez with many trailer parks, the natives were paid well from the business deals. In my younger days I lived in Peachland and it was not uncommon to see the Indians come to town to party at the Edgewater Hotel and arrive in long black limousines.
