Recently, I asked my reputable PM dealer do they test the coins they purchase for resale? Current year coins they sell are usually direct from the Mint. I was told that an experienced dealer would know by looking at the features on the coin and it would not be worth counterfeiting a 1 oz coin that would be fake. I wasn’t 100% happy with that answer but they have a good reputation. It sounds subjective.
