I remember in high school history class we were studying the “political spectrum”. The extreme ends of both the left, Communism, and the right, Fascism, became Totalitarianism. It was like both ends of the spectrum lead to the same outcome despite being different in every other way. They both lead to the same kind of society as if the spectrum curved around and joined together like circle. So it’s not surprising that we in the West are now approaching the same sort of society that those in the East used to have under totalitarian Communism. Hey, “Green” is the new Red!
